Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a brand package design take?

Design time for the Basic and Premium packages usually take 2-3 weeks and includes two rounds of revisions. The Professional package also includes two rounds of revisions but takes 4-5 weeks total. These estimates are dependent upon client response time and feedback as well as the specific scope of work for your unique project.

How do we communicate throughout the design process?

Email is preferred so that I can keep consistent track of all of your notes in one place. I offer unlimited email, phone, and video call support during the duration of your design project’s timeline.

What programs do you use to design my brand elements?

I use the Adobe Creative Suite; specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Templates are created in the software of your choice.

What types of files are included in each brand package?

All final logo designs come in all popular file formats including JPG, PNG, and EPS files. Print projects are provided in PDF format. Social media graphics and other web elements are provided as JPG’s or PNG files.

Are the files editable?

All logos, printed pieces, and social media graphics will be finalized set pieces (not editable). If specified in advance, template files can be created so that you can edit them where necessary.

Do you provide text and photos?

You are responsible for any and all text that appears in your print, or online designs (including spelling and grammar changes). If you’d like to use your own photos those need to be collected and organized for each project. If you do not have any images I am happy to select stock photos for your projects. The cost of each stock photo used in the final designs will be added to your invoice. If you are local to Pittsburgh, I am available to photograph your products/spaces/food.

How many clients do you work with at a time?

In order to provide the level of quality and dedication that I believe my clients deserve, I only work with 1 – 3 clients at any given point. This allows me to work much more intimately with my clients and reply much faster.

Who orders my printed pieces?

You are responsible for ordering any printing of your brand collateral items including business cards, stationery, flyers etc… but I’m happy to assist you in placing these orders at the end of your project if you would like my assistance. I do know local and online vendors that I can recommend.

How do I pay for my projects?

A 50% deposit is required to book your branding package. The final 50% is due upon completion of the project. Once your packages is paid in full I’ll send you a zipped folder with a variety of color combinations and sizes. Other design projects are charged at a $30/hr rate and are invoiced on the first of each month. I am happy to accept Venmo, credit cards via Paypal, or checks.

It's that time of year again where I’m taking my It's that time of year again where I’m taking my annual creative sabbatical - working on personal projects that inspire me, so that I can return to work full of fresh ideas. This year was certainly one that could use some extra reflection so I’ll be away until the start of the new year. In the meantime I'm wishing you all a wonderful holiday.
@taylorifowler and I met through a women's network @taylorifowler and I met through a women's networking group (thanks again @ajay_bee and @elisabethleachstyling !) and I am so glad we did. Not only was it great meeting another like minded female entrepreneur but it felt like we had a similar aesthetic and outlook on business. From our first chat I could tell that she truly cares and roots on her clients.

Taylor is a professional writer and communications consultant and she wanted her brand to reflect that she is truly passionate about learning her client's unique stories. She provides a unique mix of a service that clients need and partner that will bolster their cause (she even helped me with my own web copy). Together we built  one of my favorite brands of this year. Take a peek at the link in my bio to see more. And reach out to Taylor if you need someone who can turn your story into beautifully crafted paragraphs better than you can tell in your own words.
My favorite cost effective way to tailor your bran My favorite cost effective way to tailor your brand is to utilize a template website in conjunction with branded print materials and social media. Having a consistent look and feel to all of the touch points your customers encounter, not only makes you look professional but instills trust. It lets everyone know that you are paying attention to the details, that you are organized and thoughtful. Which in turn makes it much easier to book or buy from you.

Template websites like @Squarespace only look like templates if you don't personalize them. By adding your own custom colors, fonts, patterns, photography and logos we can make any template your very own for a fraction of the cost of a custom website.

I was lucky enough to spend some extra quality tim I was lucky enough to spend some extra quality time with my mom and she told me some old family folklore that made me think about my great grandmother. These earrings are the only items I have passed down from her. My mother and I both wore them on our wedding days. My great grandmother Josephine was an extremely strong woman and I greatly admire what she gave up for our family. She immigrated from Italy with two children in tow in search of better opportunities. She lost two husbands and raised seven children. Then right before the great depression her oldest daughter passed away and she raised her five grandchildren as well. Hoping I have an ounce of her strength within me to make it through the end of this trying year.
Here's another little snapshot of a brand identity Here's another little snapshot of a brand identity I worked on with an amazing local Pittsburgh Realtor @jessica.pgh Together we built out her web template, business cards, yard signs, social media graphics and house flyer templates. This was an interesting project because I was simultaneously working with her brokerage, Achieve Realty, to refresh their logo and branding as well. So Jessica was kind enough to wait until we established the Achieve Realty brand to work with me on finalizing her own, that way we could coordinate them. I'm waiting for the day when I see one of Jessica's yard signs out in front of a house in my neighborhood. Most assuredly with a "Sold" sign below! To see more of Jessica Baker's branding check out the link in my bio.
Catching up on a backlog of work that I want to fe Catching up on a backlog of work that I want to feature on the website and I fell back in love with this little set of initials and key icon that I created for Realtor @jessica.pgh. Jessica has been a complete joy to work with! I don't think anyone else has had as much fun using the little design elements that we built as Jessica has. She even turned them into her own custom set of gifs and they make my heart happy everytime I see them pop up in my stories! That's the feeling I want all of my clients to have when we build their logo and other branding elements; excitement! It really is a fun process to see your business come to life visually. And my favorite part is giving your brand it's own unique personality. I began that process and Jessica really kept the ball rolling. I'll be sharing more of Jessica's branding soon once it's ready to go live on the site. Stay tuned...
